 This site has been designed as a single reference source for information on all aspects of the oeuvre of the British marine painter and commercial artist Frank Henry Mason (1875-1965), R.B.A., R.I., R.S.M.A. and is managed by Edward Yardley.Edward Yardley is regarded as the acknowledged authority on all aspects of Frank Henry Mason’s oeuvre.In 1996 Yardley wrote a small book entitled the Life and Career of Frank Henry Mason published by Hartlepool Art Gallery which is long out of print.Since 1996 he has continued his research on the painter. With the valuable assistance of his colleague Andy Saunders, they have built a database of over 3000 entries on Mason’s artist output in all medium.The aim of this site is to promote:

• The book entitled Frank Henry Mason: Marine Painter and Poster Artist  is now out of print but a few copies are still available through this website.
• Three 50th anniversary retrospective exhibitions of Mason’s work to be shown during 2015 at Hartlepool Art Gallery, The McLean Museum & Art Gallery, Greenock and Scarborough Art Gallery
• Add more information to the Mason database including new discoveries. Owners of Mason's work are requested to contact Edward Yardley via this website [ in confidence, of course].
